Koo does not store, display or share any sensitive personal information submitted during the verification process.
Self Verification is a voluntary and optional feature offered as per Rule 4(7) of the Intermediary Guidelines & Digital Media Ethics Code Rules, 2021. Please read and accept the detailed Terms and condition for voluntary self Conditions before availing the feature.
This feature is only available to Indian citizens holding pre-selected government issued ID/Aadhaar. By proceeding, you consent to the collection and processing of your information in the government issued ID/Aadhaar.
Any forgery, impersonation or other misuse will lead to criminal prosecution for impersonation and/or forgery and/or other offences under law.
How Self Verification works
Step 1 On clicking, “Proceed for Self Verification” you are consenting to use your govt. issued ID/Aadhaar number to authenticate you.
Step 2 You will be directed to a secure verification page. A list of accepted documents is displayed, choose one, and follow the simple on-screen instructions.
Step 3 On successful verification, you will see a verified badge next to your name on your profile page.
The feature is provided on a best effort basis and any reliance or use is at your discretion and responsibility.
