Self Verification

Koo offers the ability for users to self verify their accounts as being operated by a human. It is voluntary and completely free of charge.  

Self verification not an identification service. Koo does not verify the actual identity or verify any personal information about a user. Only information about the device hardware and software is analysed. This is a privacy & anonymity safeguard. The actual profile for a user may be different from the display and caution must be exercised.

Koo relies on reCAPTCHA Enterprise and Fingerprint in arriving at a confidence score on whether a profile is a bot. This is done by collecting hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and sending this data to Google and Fingerprint for analysis (see their policies below). The information collected in connection with Customer’s use of the reCAPTCHA Enterprise Service is used for providing, maintaining, and improving reCAPTCHA Enterprise and for general security purposes. It will not be used for personalized advertising by Google or any other other security service providers.

Consent to Self Verify

By proceeding for voluntary verification you agree to collection of hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and sending this data for analysis. 

Koo does not verify the actual identity or verify any personal information in this process.

The use of reCAPTCHA Enterprise is subject to the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use and you consent to the same by opting for voluntary self verification. Please note that any forgery, impersonation, use of algorithms or bots or other misuse may lead to criminal prosecution for impersonation and/or forgery and/or other offenses under law.

To the fullest extent possible, Koo disclaims any liability, direct or indirect, for self verification. Self Verification is fully optional and free.

How Self Verification Works

Step 1 On clicking, “Proceed for Self Verification” you are consenting to use of reCAPTCHA Enterprise is subject to the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. The use of Fingerprint is subject to their Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

Step 2 You will be directed to a secure verification page. Please follow the simple on-screen instructions.

Step 3 On successful verification, you will see a verified badge next to your name on your profile page.
